My head unit and Sirius unit are both blue making my green clock look very out of place. I bought some blue lighting sheet from another member here and while it made the clock blue it was also very dim. Took apart the clock, removed the OEM lens, replaced it with a clear piece of lexan and now I have nice bright blue numbers on my clock

Bad picture but this shows how the blue clock fits in with everything else

I also ordered the white LED's for the HVAC today so that will be a nice bright blue as well

Usually I don't like this kind of stuff, but have to admit that is cool.

Clock pod you just lift up and it snaps right out, clock itself is held in the pod with two small screws, one small tap on the old tinted lens with a screwdriver and it popped right out

For the new lens I used some clear lexan I had leftover from a window I made for my mothers sunporch, just cut a piece to size with a dremel on slow speed, secured in place with hot glue, taped the blue tint over the clock face itself, reassembled, done

Which part did you need pics of? I have a spare clock and pod so it wont be hard to snap a pic of whatever you need

post pics of the spare clock & the underside part that we never get to see. Any posts that go into the dash? What can be the most likely parts we'd break getting it off? Thanks man...

edit: Wonder how Blue Lexan would be?

Looks great! If you're interested in selling me a small piece of lexan for my clock i'd pick it up right away! I just got my filter paper in the other day and put it on yesterday =]

Very nice work! It was a while ago that I looked at doing this, didn't notice that piece would pop off. Too bad I broke my clock =/

Hows the lexan look over the lense in the daylight? can you tell you put stuff over it or does it fit flush?

Sits flush and the display is very clear, first time my son rode in the car since doing it and he looked right at it and asked if I bought a new clock
