well a couple days ago, some things went south. but no too bad thankfully. its weird too. every time i used to turn on my car, like many and hopefully the rest of you, my fuel pump weird kick in as soon as i turn the key(the humming noise). well now everytime i turn the key(doesnt even have to be all the way, just to get the electronics going) my fan will randomly kick on for about five seconds, then my fuel pump will??? :confused1: ALONG with the fact that now everytime i turn my car all the way on, the rpms jump straight to 2000 and sit there for about 15 seconds then drop down to normal 1k. then i will randomly go back to 1500 and back to 1k. its steady so the change isnt real jump, just smoot. and when i drive and put the clutch in, i jumps to 2k, and doesnt go back to 1k until im COMPLETLY stopped, or put it back and gera and drive.

any ideas??? its confusing the hell out of me??? i havent made ANY changes to anything in the past three weeks, so this is completely out of the blue. i thought it was the IAC, but i checked it and cleaned it throuroughly so i dont think that could be it.

please help :sad5:

yeah, it sucks pretty:( lol. but i kno half of it is because my buddy snapped the t merge section for the vacumm hoses leading to the PCV valve. and there is air going everywhere!! so im getting that fixed tomorrow. before it broke it wasnt as bad. i just dont get what could be causing this? its has to be something electronic, which i am NOT good with. so anybody electronic guru's in here, please help!!:) i unplugged the negative terminal to hopefully reset anything, but had no luck with that. its very odd, very very odd.

ill take all the help i can get so anyone feel free to offer up. thanks for all the help

does your CEL blink like crazy?

if so, you may have a short in your harness... almost sounds like your car is trying to run a KOEO or KOER test on you

i wouldnt say it blinks like crazy. but it comes on and off every now and then. when i start the car, it usually takes like 2 minutes for the cel to come on. and it may randomly turn off. its been on since i had the car(7 months) but before it used to just come and on stay on it seemed like. it never bothered me cuz the car ran great. but i got almost all of the prob fixed now. i just broke the T section that connects all the vacuum lines for the PCV valve so i had air going everywhere. but its replaced now so no more jumping idle. and the fan didnt turn on at all today before i started the car.

my cars mood swings are giving me some serious whiplash. i honestly dont understand how it can run GREAT on day and like shit the other. and sometimes it will change between the times i drive it in the same day.

i stupidly enough havent gotten around to it yet. lol. but i should be getting it checked this weekend. and ill let you guys kno.

but it seemed to work itself out tho, and the only real problem i have now is the it runs REALLY rich when i first start the car after not driving it for a couple of hours. it idles pretty low and it has NO power only for about five minutes or so of driving until the engine gets to normal operating temp. o2 sensors maybe?? any other thoughts?

thanks for all the help and replies so far

might try finding another ecu and plugging it in to see if some how something got messed up in the ECU... more than likely it's something simple that is causing issues, but there is a slight chance that your ECU is causing the problem. You might want to also try, disconnecting your battery; unplug the main harness into the ECU and use some contact cleaner on the main plug, then plug it back up wait about 5 minutes then hook your battery back up and start the car.
