My evil plan DID work! Quick sound completed sound clip!

Had an idea rattling around in my head for a while now and just wasn't sure if it would work. I want to give my loud pedal, a loud button! Electronic cut-outs but with a twist. I want to put the cut-out in between the entrance/exit of my side exhaust muffler so that when it is opened up it will shoot the unrestricted exhaust out the same tip. Today I got the car up on my ramps and took a look and it looks like we are a go!

I will be getting a kit with dual electronic-cut outs, Y-pipes and then a straight pipe. The Y-pipe will be replacing that extension thingy that goes between my X-pipe and my muffler by welding the flange/bolt connector on one end and the C-clamp on the other. The cut-out will connect on the pipe now exiting to the right and then the straight pipe will go into the tip/exit. Be interesting to see if it will gain an hp since the muffler is the most restrictive part of he exhaust, but we all know it will gain some volume when I am ready. (why don't the smileys work )

The same shop that did my air ride is the shop I called for this. I have asked them if I could take some vids while they were putting it together and there will certainly be a video afterwards of me going out and make noise, lotsa noise!

Friend of mine straight piped his 95 vert's exhaust out the side and it was so dang loud. And we used to go do that lol

Lol yea some of my friends run cut outs it's intense. Cars with long tubes and off road x pipes are loud as **** cut are just crazy but sound cool as hell

I think with my shorty's and high flow magnaflow X-pipe it should sound LOUD. But then again I can open/close the valve as much or as little as I want.

Could not agree more. Will finally balance the looks/performance scale but at the cost of the noisy/too noisy scale. I have always lived with the moniker that if its too loud yer too old so guess its time to walk the walk.

I can't help but think it will free up some hp. Could start an over/under bet to see and make it fun. There is a show later this year at a local tech school with a dyno I might be able to run it on both ways at their show.

well that makes it even more interesting wouldn't it? I have never set up an over/under as I am not a betting man but if someone wants to do it I can find something fun/under $20 for the winner.
