I need a house first, hopefully the VA loan helps with that....... lol!!! Then I can get a lift!!!!

I'll bet you would use it a lot, breaking your car at the track - you lucky guy.

Re: GARAGE

There's been a lot of interest in my lift. So here's some pictures:

It weigh's over 1500#  so you can't exactly have it delivered to your house.
I had it shipped to our shop and brought it home on the trailer here.

Then backed it under my chain hoist to lift it off.

Everything is packed between the ramps, here's the parts.

Asembled.  took about 6 hours, two guys.

you can also see I was putting in my benches at that time :)

It is so usefull, I highly recommend. I use it when detailing as well, raise it up and buff the sides.
Getting older, sore back ya know.

My car, before major mods - was welding in my Roush subframes in this pic.

I can bairly fit both cars in this bay.
If you're planning on a lift in your garage I'd go 12' -15' ceiling.
Mine's 10' high.  that's all the higher I could go - thanks to the nazzi city inspectors here.

Re: GARAGE

Yeah, I beat on it at the track, but I take care of it too, so it hopefully wont break there, as I have no "chase" vehicle of any sort.

I woulda cut a hole in the roof for the top of the project car to go into, then you can get away with it with the building inspectors.

OK - the word of the day is  D R A W E R S

I'm making my own - that will fit undernieth the benches - I'm making 2 banks. one is 18" wide, and the other is 48" wide!
I had the steel sheared and formed up out of 16 gauge. Got the first set welded up last night.
Here's some pix.

Starts as a Pile of steel.
I like new gray steel!

You should make me some. I'd even give you $220 for one of those. That's fully TWICE the cost of materials. LOL

...but seriously. You should. :)

Worked there last night and will again toinght. I'll snap some shots.

the drawers are just a lot of labor.
I got my dad's set (pictured) installed. in his garage. need to shoot some pix of them too.
