I was thinking the same thing Paul... I wonder if they light up like a narrow band, like change colors or light up all the way across like if your lean or rich

I will be adding some powered accesories from led lighting and motorization of the stereo to possibly a bottle warmer and a few other things. I bought a little piece that has a touchpad with 4 flat buttons on it that goes into a relay box that then switches the accesories on/off, actually two of them. There is also a wired remote for the big DM200 gauge(the first one installed in the pillar) that I will be flushmounting in a switchplate in the ashtray as well as the touchpads. The leds are just to light up when I activate one of the accesories on the touchpad. I will have resistors in them so that they will not be blindingly bright but still visable. I was not happy how the clear came out on the switchplate I made so I am going to re-sand it and the re-clear it. If it comes out like I hope it should look pretty cool in the end with all the buttons flushmounted in the plate.

soldered the hrns's that I needed to disconnect the leds quickly with last night and at this point the pod is complete and ready to go in. Like I said my brother is arriving for the holidays this afternoon so it might take a little while to complete the install and get everything buttoned up for final pics but I will ASAP.

When its done I will be able to toggle between any of the sensor modules that is currently hooked up, and could connect 12 others if I needed too. One of the Dm6 touch/multi gauges will be used for AFR, need to get the bung welded in

I was never able to get a good fit around the cross-overs that I wanted to flush mount in it. It is currenly safe in primer under the bed in the spare bedroom. I am going to complete it with the new stereo I am building as I will just turn those holes for the cross-overs into a vent to help the 3 tens with 1200 watts on them play into the pass compartment, not like they should need the help. It going to be pained gloss black with the same green striped that go down the dash. The work on the current stereo came to halt when I ran out of money and just had a bad first 9 months of the year health wise. My disability hearing is 6 days from today and if it gets approved the batteries and sound damping that I have been waiting for will be ordered that afternoon to hopefully get back at it.

damn I was finally able to get in and nearly finish it up today. Work was delayed over the holidays with another 4 day hospital stay, just now got back on my feet. I still need to get the bung welded into my exhaust for the AFR but the DM6 touchscreen gauges are in and mounted now and working. The one on the right will be dedicated to AFR but the one on the left will be able to toggle through all the same sensors the DM200 in the a-pillar can read(oil/water temp, oil/fuel pressure, vac). I have also set the upper/lower limits on them so that if a sensor I am not monitoring goes past that limit it will tell me. There is also a wallpaper that starts when I power it up that I can customize that could be fun. Sorry for the crappy cell pics but I am cleaning her up for a cruise with my club tomorrow so I will get more pics then.

The leds that are inbetween the gauges are not yet wired as I have to finish clearing the switch panel I made to mount the touchpads on. That switch panel will also mount the remote for the DM200 gauge on the pilar.

work on this project got delayed because of cold weather, but resumed this week with weather in the 50s. I finished up the new switch/remote panel but will need to trim the area around the ashtray just a little bit to get it to fit perfectly. The touchpads that are numbered 1-4(both of them) is a system made by spektre. The touchpads connect to a relay box via a ribbon cable and allow the relay boxes to switch something on when the corrosponding number on the touchpad it touched. I wired up the leds that go between the two gauges on the column so that one of those will light up when the corrosponding output is turned on. I will use these for everything from controlling the motorization in the stereo to possibly a bottle warmer/window switch. Each led has a large resistor soldered inline so that they just barely light up blue and will not blind me.
