i was changing my trannys tune today and thought I'd show some pictures of what a TSC tranny controller looks like.

my MSD and the TCS both fit well under the seat but since i have no lap top i need to pull the seat and bring the unit inside to change a tune. it holds 2 tunes at once and i have a rocker switch between the power point and the tranny temp gauge (right in front of the shifter) that lets me change tunes on the fly.

the TCS also lets the cruise control buttons act as paddle shifters if you hook up the wires and turn that option on in the tune, but i never did it.

Dang, thats pretty slick. Im not a huge fan of an auto, but if it had the option of paddle shift, that would be pretty fun! But it would work correct even with a aode? I remember reading somewhere when usuing something like a b&m you should shift to 2nd gear then tap it back to first to hold it in 2nd, and so on. With the paddle shift you wouldnt have to go through that non-sence?

the TCS is made for AODE trannys so i dont know what you mean by will it work.

im not sure what your talking about with the shifter ....this thing lets you set each up and down shift point anywhere you want...along with line pressure and lock up.

check it out at www.becontrols.comhttp://

Sorry I will clarify... That was a shifting technique suggested by B&M because it being a aod/aode trans. I never got to drive the truck it was intended for so I never got to do it personally. Basically I was asking if there was any trickery with the paddle shift like that, Or what ever button you push up or down is what the trans does. But i realize now that it probably shifts through TCS and not mechanically through the shifter. I feel dumb now :violent1:

it does run through the TCS but i also have full manual control too.

if i did what your talking about it would just shift into what ever gear i put it in.

that is pretty cool. probably one of the first cars I've heard of to have something like it. Very secretive in a way to switch
things up on the fly.

yeah, not to many guys know about the TCS (they have bin out for years) so i thought I'd post some pics.

I've had this hooked up for 5 years at least and all i can say is the stock (computer) tune is trash and if you don't have something like this for an auto your just fooling yourself.

i put my up shifts at peak power, set my converter to lock up only in OD and above 45mph, bumped my line pressure up a hair.

i've ran this thing since 2004 and probably had 50 different tunes in it the first year alone....well worth the cost IMO.

i think they are still $400

i didnt use the premade tranny harness they make...i don't think they made them back when i got mine.

super easy to hook up and comes with maybe 6-8 tunes already in it but i always just made my own.
