talk to your shop thats doing the work if they cant answer simple questions than you should not go to them. if you want a knowledgable shop and person call pakes engine and machine in janesville,wi talk to bill hes got a sn95 5.0 and really knows his shit 608-758-9003

pistons are matched to the bore. the block is bored to what you want example .010 over... shop bores block to spec then they take the piston that you want and fit to the bore by honing the block and giving block the clearance it needs for the piston and rings that go into it.

when you say "aftermarket pistons wont work cause its not a ho block" makes no sense at all to me. that sounds like someone just saying it to say it but im not fully sure. just my opinion on that issue

what bore you want? pistons? more details please. plus you will also need to make sure that the piston to head clearance is there. i mean that you dont get to tall of a piston and smack the valves with it. theres a lot to look for when building a performance motor. once i had a sbc built and the pistons i had needed more bore clearance due to them being a "tighter piston". this is what the other shop had to do after the first one did the work. the machinist was an expert with the piston brand i had

i want to bore .30 over and go with diamond pistons and eagle rods thats the basic right now im going to buy a forged crank and then for the top half i want to do TF twisted wedge heads and either TF upper n lower itake or a GT40 intake is there anything i really else need to worry about ? because remember since its not a actual 5.0 block nothing is forged

forged is good for boosted apps. you could go with a rotating assembly from eagle or scat whatever you choose. the TW heads do some research and compare. i have turbo swirl heads myself. dont rush into getting the block worked on take your time talk to the shop make sure youre 110percent sure that "this is what i want and how i want to build it". takes hard earned money and time. you dont want to put 2000 bucks into a motor and all said and done youre unhappy with it cause lack of performance, clearance issues etc... many things to consider take your time research and asking ?s is best you can do before possibly making a high dollar mistake. or the biggest achievment of building your first motor and liking it

The difference between the H.O. vs the Non-H.O. is the firing order.

High Output came in the mustang where the Non-H.O. came in cars like the Lincoln etc., the block is identicle.
