it was low on air, i took it to chevron 4 blocks away and it would not take any. i could not hear a leak it just wasnt filling up. so i wasted $1.50 on an air machine and had to drive back on a flat. this is what happend on my 4 block trip.

got lucky with the rim. sux that happened though. maybe your valve stem is cloged or stuck it happens to me alot cause i live down a dirt road so i usally poke at it with a screw driver when it wont take air that usally frees it up to get air in the tire.

the valve stem was givin me a bit of trouble, i'll check it in the morning. i gotta try to get this thing to reseat and fill. i dont wanna replace the tire just yet.

and on another note, i noticed that on the inside of one of the spokes it says
4 rear in sharpie

now i want to put the car all up on stands and check them all. this front is a 17x9. makes me wonder if im running a 8 wide out back or if there all 17x9 ahhh so much on my mind at 2am. its got 255/40's all the way around so i dont think it would matter much.

it probably took a lot more weight to balance or is slightly bent. You would then typically put it on the rear so that you would be less likely to feel the vibration.

lucky you didn't destroy the tire and have it come off and hit body parts or other suspension stuff, and not destroy the wheel as well.....

yes i know duff, i am very thankful for that. it sucks this happend but it could have been a lot worse.

and the wheel only has 2 glued on weights i've never had a problem with vibrations either.

the gas station air pumps don't have enough volumn to put a bead back on the tire.
You might be able to get it back on if you were to get the weight off the rim so the tire won't be force off the rim.
I hope the tire isn't fubared from driving off the bead.
Also now you are going to need to get it rebalanced because to tire has rotated on the rim.

you were driving on that??
x2...the whole time I read this thread, I couldn't help but think about you driving with it that flat. Why would you do that? Don't you have a spare/AAA? I would never drive on a flat, and even worse it was ur front wheel...how could you turn?

I was leaving for work one morning and felt the rear sway a little as I pulling out of the drive but seemed fine as I got going so I didn't think anymore about it. I got on the interstate, ran about 70-75 mph for 12 miles then another 6 miles to my work parking lot. There I noticed the sway again as I was pulling into a spot. One of my co workers walked by and said it looked like I had a flat rear tire. Sure enough, it was completely flat but hadn't broke the seal. It was a 18" Nitto 555R tire. I couldn't believe it wasn't noticeable. The tire was junk, but the rim was perfectly fine.
