Centrifugal Superchargers hands down. Vortech Si or SQ is what I recommend.

Reason being??? Air is free, nitrous is about $5 a pound.

supercharger...
1. nitrous is stupid.
2. boost never runs out.
3. better power curve.
4. 9 pounds of boost makes more power. you guys will probably argue this
5. you don't feel bad when your in boost because you can't hear the money out of your nitrous bottle as you make power.

I would argue it too because nitrous makes godlike torque and will be faster with a 100 shot vs 9 psi

Justin...

boost is just a measurement of resistance bro.

Your going to make more boost with the same blower on a stock engine vs a HCI engine.

Air is free, but that blower costs about 4 grand. If your using it for racing on the weekends, i say nitrous, itll take a decade before you use up enough nitrous make the blower more economical.

Cost $50 to fill a bottle here and depending on what size shot he is going with...I got 4 full passes on a 150 shot.

Adds up REAL fast.

why not get the roots set up from kb for your car

Make more power with a Vortech for less money.

You can pick up an S-trim brand new for about $2700

New KB kit is over $3000

PD blowers are excellent on 4.6's because they lack the torque down low, not to mention 4.6's react completely different to PD then the pushrod motors.

As for ProCharger...ever see one blow up? This guy had his D1 blowup on him while he was driving.

I'm a Vortech guy. ProChargers need intercoolers for a reason...they are inefficient. I'm not trying to turn this into a brand vs brand pissing match by any means so please don't take it like that. :eek:ccasion14: :headbang:

Where are you seeing that price? The Vortech is more money sir.

The other thing to keep in mind, is that when you want more... all you do is change the jets, and you can go as high as you want. With a blower, you gotta get a bigger better one after so much boost. Then when you want better heads and stuff your old S trim isn't big enough and you gotta buy a whole new T trim. I'm not saying boost isn't sick, because believe me if there was an unlimited N2O cheat code like need for speed I would have it in a heartbeat. Also if you build a totally different engine or something you can install your nitrous system on the new motor and get the exact same result. I just like N2O because you don't get used to it like a blower, since its not on all the time, and instead of forking over 3500 bucks for a blower thats gonna make 320 horse on a stock 302 I forked over 700 and I get the same result at the strip. Then my money is in the bank collecting interest so I can buy more stuff instead of under my hood whistling.

I love it when noobs who've never used nitrous tell everyone it's stupid.

Nitrous freaking rules.

Here's the long and short of this post:

Nitrous is easier to install, cheaper, and retains 100% factory drivability.

The blower will never run out of boost, is more expensive, more difficult to install, and has many more considerations such as fuel system, tune, etc.

in this type of thread, your going to have nitrous guys say nitrous rules....and blower guys say blower rules. If you can afford a blower, get a blower. If you can't, go nitrous. Both will make your car into a whole new animal. Or how about you dont listen to anybody and go turbo or forge your motor, slap a blower on, AND a 100 shot.

I know...I was just saying if you take a stock NPI and run 9-10 psi vs 100 shot my money would be on the 100 shot car.

I have a blower but nitrous makes a lot of power and amazing torque...so with say a 100 hp boost, the nitrous car would be faster.

Im a blower guy becuase I think nitrous is the gayness since the power is not always there.

IMO, Its gays to have a 14 second car that runs 12s on nitrous.

When I say my car runs XX.XX at XXX mph, I want it to always run that time, not just on the bottle.
