Name of this part?

So when i brought my car this piece on the throttle cable was taped up :dontknow: I wanna replace this with a proper non broken piece, but unsure what i need to buy.

That is the cruise control cable

I know all to well, My cars cruise didn't work the one day, popped the hood and found that cable popped off. Put it back on and it worked.

Are you guys freaking serious? My cruise control doesn't work, but it use to. I actually have a big thread on here about this LOL. I wonder if this is causing my cruise control problem. I already replaced the spedo gear LOL!!!!

And whats under it? I have no idea. I thought it was the throttle cable.

part of the issue is they used regular electrical tape.

It's somewhat of a beating to replace it. It connects to a round drum that's located in the fender. You have to take your front wheel off and pull away the splash shield to access it.

i use cruise on long trips. mostly its a calibrated foot.

Ya i seen that today while working on my hids. The wire disappears into the fender... sigh.

Mine's never worked so I deleted everything while doing the wire tuck, had I not thrown all that crap away I would've sent you the cable for free

mine was broken too when I got my stang, pos plastic. I haven't bothered replacing it since I will NEVER use cruise in a standard mustang lol.

I'll let you know as soon as the engine and D1 are in. Most likely stock heads, intakes, valvetrain stuff. The cruise control never worked so I tossed it out even though all the parts looked good, same with the A/C junk. I'll make a free stuff thread when it's done just pay shipping
