need help finding two little things...

three weeks ago, LMR had heater-hose c clamps on their website. now they dont have them...

does anyone know where i could find the small plastic c-clips that hold the heater hose onto the heater core??? i need 2, one for each hose.

LMR had them, but now i cant find them... am i missing something?

I just did a search and found nothing as well. Might have to source the part from a JY or someone parting out there car. Put a WTB AD Up.

dealer doesnt have them. have to buy the entire hose assemblies... :-/

use mini metal band clamps.

the one side is a plastic assembly that the c-clips snap into (much like a fuel filter on our cars)

we used a worm-clamp on the engine side, but on the core side, i need dem clips. :-(

Both my hoses that go into the heater core have metal clamps on them. Can you post a picture of what they look like?

I have never seen a mustang with a setup like that and ive owned 5 and have worked on many...Maybe i just over looked it but they still look strange to me.

Yea never seen that before chris. I have removed mine 5 times in the past couple weeks swapping in 3 different pi manifolds and they are supposed to be the same type of factory clamp thats used to connect the coolant hose to a 2V thermo housing....u know the painintheass hose clamps that you have to squeeze with channel locks? Cut the hose back and use regular clamps. I have also owned a few mstangs and worked on many.....never seen that before

well ladies...

i had to buy 2006 msutang heater hoses to get those clips ($40.00) now i cant figure out how to install them.... ;-) 1996 service manual shows two regular hose clamps on a pre-bent hose... 2003 service manual shows what I have, but it simply says "push on the hose" to install them..... well we tried everything and they wont install...



ran across this thread by doing a search on here... figured i'd bring it back to life for you ladies who were losing sleep for the past 5 months over these clips...

what do the clips look like chris, post a pic is the issue pushing the hose on the fitting or getting a clamp on the hose?

went back to the shop tonight... got one on (ish??? kinda wiggles around more than i like, but it wont pull off)

then i got tired of spending hours upon hours bent over the fender like a prom queen, so i moved to the trunk.... like a dead hooker.


anyways. .. .. here are a few pics.

(not my car, but same heater core, same clips, same hoses... why did this dude's work? wtf....)

before the heater hoses go on.... (my clips wont even go that far onto the core, i tried with a BFH and it just broke...)

i know, hard to see, but you get the idea.


1996 hoses, 1996 core (new), brand new clips.
have old core, the ends match up.
had other clips (off 2004 cobra) and they matched up.

1996 service manual:
shows hose clamps.

2004 service manual:
"apply lubricant, or fresh water, place clips in hose, push."

this is litterally about the only thing keeping my car off the dyno... some minor interior wiring, battery box in trunk, heater core hoses, add coolant... .... ..

good design ford, you guys rock my socks.

anyways, ill get a few pics tomorrow of my problems, not this white car that actually functioned properly.

id say lubrication would be the best bet but hoenstly i dont know.

yea, we tried axle greese and PB plaster... tuesday we are bypassing (if we cant figure it out)
