My friend wants to sell me his nitrous kit for 450. Its the base NX wet kit /w a bottle warmer and purge kit. All brand new ****. I don''t know **** about nitrous but what else would i need/should get to be safe. I was thinking a 75 shot. Stock bottom end with 75k on it and i have the pi swap. I think i may need a bigger fuel pump and i''d get a retune on my car which is like 175 so not worried there. I just don''t know **** about hooking up the electronics/jets/installation of the kit. Is it hard? Will the motor be alright? Hows the compression effect? Anything you guys can let me know or help with will be much appriciated like i swaid i dont know much about it just that its a steal compared to buying it new.

Also what other parts of the car will be needing to be beefed up if anything. I was thinking about buying a rebuilt t-45 from hanlon or maybe a reman t3650(not sure what is needed to swap, sensor wise), what clutch would be good, also alum flywheel? Sorry for all the ?''s It''s just i need a new trans/clutch and might as well know what ill need ahead of time. Also the car will have 4.10''s.

I used to run that same kit on my 97 gt and I never had one problem with it. 75 is as high as I went with it but im certain it can handle 100 no problem. I ran a 75 shot with the stock fuel pump and stock tune. One thing that I would recomend would be a fuel pressure safty switch, you can set it at a safe level so if your fuel pressure drops below your chosen point it will disarm the system. You can get one off ebay for around 40 bucks. The kit is also very easy to install, and it will be a whole new car when its finished! The 75 shot gave me a full second in the 1/4 mile.

First off, BUY THE KIT..... Like U said, its a steal.

One thing you gota know is that if you did the Full PI Swap (H/C/I) then your compression is about 10.4-10.6 High compression cars love nitrous, they respone to it like crazy, so yes it will help U out a lot. Installing it is also a no big deal, just look around to find a thread that tells U how. It a pretty bolt on kit. You don't need a new fuel pump also.

Running a 75 shot, is pretty safe, but U can go to 100 shot easy, just make sure that you have a window switch and the correct tune, nothing to high (this depends on the guy tuning it). Start out with the 75 to try it out, then move up :thumb:

With the tranny, if you have to buy a new one anyways, I would beef it up since I have to change it anyways. But a stock one would work fine, JUST REMEMBER to buy the window switch, just in case U miss a gear, the switch shuts off the kit so the tranny doesn't break into pieces :crying:

Hope this helps man, and again BUY the kit. You will thank me later :thumb:

you have plenty to spare with the 75 shot. on my stock 96 GT i ran 100 shot through it with no probs....not even tuned. but as mentioned the window swtich and fuel regulator safety switch is a good investment.

ill be running a 150 shot untuned here in the next few weeks. I tried the 100 shot and i had some kit malfunctions. But with PI swap and if you have aftermarket cams or anyting, you need to put in a pump at the very least. dont risk blowing up the enigne for a 120 dollar pump. I have a 255 Pump. Easy 40 minute swap out.
