How many allen wrenches and screwdriver bits are on that count?
Sometimes sets like that have a lot of those things to bring up the piece count making you think your getting more "real tools" than you really are.
Looks to be a decent enough deal for home use or a starter kit.

I do not like returning broken tools and I have broken many a craftsman. I mean its great they will give you a new one but the inconvinience of not having what I need when I need it is worth more to me. To me the lifetime warranty along with how easy they do break just tells me that they are overpriced/cheaply made.

How much do these sets normally cost?

i think its near double that or maybe 250 thats a damn good deal. My first kit was much smaller than that and was 150.

Uhh not even a torque wrench? I also think that speaks for the great simplicity of the mustangs, thank god. I still perfer to have access to a lot of tools. If youve ever used and air compressor you know what I mean.

i have broken mac, snap-on, craftsman, s&k.... difference is when you break a craftsman you can go to store and get a new one if they are open. others break and you wait for the truck to come, and hope he has one or call ahead for one to be on there. entry cost and availability to a home mechanic are winners for craftsman. for a pro the craftsman loses because a pro usually can't leave job for a tool but, can borrow from another mechanic.

They had really good deals on those sets last Xmas and I picked one up for my son as a starter set. He uses it a lot so it was money well spent.

one of the best parts of this kit is the chest. Very convenient for starting up. Its a bitch though to put it all in and organize the tools for the first time since it all comes in those bags.

This is te same kit I bought 4 years ago. It's a great starter setup. Has 12pt and 6pt for most of the shit you need in 3/8 drive. Not everything you'll ever need but damn close. Easy to pack it up and take it to the track as well. And fuck snap on and their truck. I ain't paying their price and I'm not waiting for the truck to come by
