So about a month or so ago i found a guy on a local forum that was parting out an '01 Bullitt. Turns out that it was clipped pretty hard but all the drivetrain was completely untouched. Here's some pics and a little bit of progress Ive done since i picked it up. Over all i paid less than $450 for everything.

How do you figure? If you compare the PI for price, power range, weight, the bullit isnt the best. A LOT, and I mean A LOT of NMRA guys use the PI. I would still use it myself if I wasnt spinning to 7500 this year.

Anyway, nice job with the engine, what are your plans for it?

I plan on porting out the heads, deck them as much as possible to bring the compression up (i dont think im going to run any power adders for the time being), im thinking about having a custom cam ground (maybe a 240/240 with a 111LSA) ive seen a bunch of guys running a 238/242 any good ideas for cams? , do some port work on that bullitt intake and and some LT's, and thats probably about it depending on how my budget turns out. lol I appreciate all the comments guys!

you could get some comp 270's get the heads ported and be done with 300 wheel hp and run mid 12's as I did on a basicly "stock" suspension.

What kinda gears were you running in the rear end when you got that 12.66 that is pretty good.

i wouldnt have the heads milled if you arent planning on building the bottom. PTV clearance is pretty close with most aftermarket cams as is, then you have the whole cam timing thing once milled, its just not worth it for the slight increase in compression.

i agree with duff on the intake. i'd sell it and keep the PI, and spend the money on suspension or some tuning, especially since you are doing a cam swap.

pi manifold + cams + tune>bulitt manifold + cams + no tune

I've thought about it many times. It's really something I should probably do. Anyone got a good set of cams for that 2V you're looking to get rid of?
