Good morning, all!

My name is Jason, long time lurker first time caller. From SE Michigan, born, raised and stayed. Work in R&D for the company that builds Mustangs. Own an 87 LX 5.0 convertible, but looking to find an SN-95 to autocross.

I was playing on the company archives website Friday and found this, thought you all might be interested in seeing how Ford describes it's birthing process. It was a page from a pamphlet printed in 1994 describing operations at DAP (Dearborn Assembly Plant), but interestingly at the bottom gives productions numbers through May, 1997... predicting the future?? (edit, I went back through and it was printed in 1997) ;)

Thanks for the site, look forward to learning and interacting with everyone.

Not going to lie, it's your series on Youtube that got me pumped to do it! We've owned the car for 29 years this January, the last 12 it's been off the road for various reasons. Plan is to get it going, get it back on the road and safe, then get it rounding cones and look for an SN95 to dedicate strictly for autocross. Thanks for all you do and the knowledge you share!

That is really nice to hear! I'm glad my videos are helping people get into autocross. You're going to love autocrossing your Fox or an SN95.

Thanks for posting that! My Grandfather worked as a certified boilerman and pipe fitter at the River Rouge plant. My Dad was a systems analyst for Ford and near the end of his career was working with dealer parts supplies. My Grandmother on my Moms side worked at Ford on the line for quite some time but I am not sure what she did. I alos would encourage you to auto-X whatever you have. I started with a B-12 Sentra which actually did pretty good because it didn't weigh anything. Later I autocrossed my E-21 320i (regret selling that car every day) with the local BMW club. If you can find a club that auto-xs that is not the SCCA it can be quite a bit more fun, the SCCA has a very thick rule book.todd autocross.JPEG
