new wheels for the GT

ok so Thursday i went to go pay my friend Chris Rose from C&B Motorsports (the current owner of the GT) $700 for the car, he then asked me if i'd be interested in a set of wheels that he was going to be selling, i asked what were they, he then showed me, i told him that i would like to first see how they look/fit on the GT before i made my final decision, well yesterday i stopped by his house so we could put the rims on, they looked/fit good on it, so i said yes i would take them, 1 of the biggest reasons i said yes is b/c i have yet to see them on another stang, they r 18x9" MB Motorsports EXE II

im making monthly payments, the only reason i was able to give him $700 this month was that money was from tax return, im buying the GT for $3000

considering the rims r 18x9's, since i probly cant run a 315/30 BFG D/R like i want to, can i run a 295/35 BFG D/R on these rims?

275s are perfect for the 9 inch rim, bigger will fit, but wear terribly.
