whats the difference between hypercoating and chrome?

This is directly from the American Muscle website:
"Hypercoated Mustang Rims, sometimes referred to as "Black Chrome", "Liquid Metal", or "Gun Metal", is the process of painting a wheel, polishing it, and then applying a metallic clear coat finish. Our new hypercoated wheels have an amazing “liquid mercury†style finish that changes shades of grey/silver in different lighting conditions, and are sure to attract attention. Check out our huge selection of Hypercoated Mustang Wheels today, as well as our 2007 Shelby GT500 Wheels, and our Wheel Replicas. Make your ride #1 in style today with the help of American Muscle and our huge selection of Ford Mustang Wheels."

I'm not a fan of Bullits but those look sick as hell :thumb:

Agreed. They look great and I usually only like them on Fox cars and real Bullitts.

Only problem i find with that paragraph is that Hypercoated is different than black chrome, and it's also shinier/brighter than gunmetal usually.

Yeah I agree. I was just posting that from their website to show the process.
