anyone know a good and nice looking set? Maybe brushed aluminum instead of chrome? or should I go chrome, I have a chrome bbk cai, chrome alt, chrome rad cover and polished upper and lower intake. So im doing my intake gaskets might as well throw on new valve covers since im still running the stockers while im in there.

post pics!!

thanks

I think the best looking covers for the price are the Ford Racing chrome tall covers.

I don't like chrome on an engine bay. unless it's very suddle like maybe only the inlet tube or something. plus if you don't keep up on it , it always looks dirty and will develop spots of stuff (not really rust) on it that u can't get off.

The tall covers are cool as long as they will clear everything.

Not big on chrome stuff under the hood. Especially valve covers. Chrome hold in heat, get brushed allluminum or have yours powder coated.

Stock fox valve covers are quite nice. They seal well and are short enough to clear the intake without all kinds of spacer madness. You need to grind them inside a little bit to clear roller rockers, then sand them down for a while to smooth them out, then just powdercoat them. :) The best part is, they can usually be had for free or near-free.

They cost me nothing other than a couple ounces of powdercoat and an afternoon's worth of work. :)

i have polished ford motorsport valve covers. they had tons of clearance issues and are a pita to keep clean. they look great, but i love bling under the hood.

Re: Nice aftermarket Valve Covers?

I would NEVER put a set of covers on that has a name brand on them and the heads under them NOT the same. Thats just a knack I have, the stockers re-finished looks good to me
