So I found out today why it's taking the guy who's working on my car so long to make any progress on it....he's been too busy making history at an NMRA race in Maryland this past weekend! The first 6-second pass in Street Outlaw history was made by Dwayne Barbaree at Maryland International Raceway. During first round of qualifying Dwayne ran a 6.976 at 199.82 mph!

Last year they finished off second in points with a best time of 7.09 at 198mph. They had hopes of being the first car in the 6's in the 2014 season and they did it! The car is a 92 Notchback, with a 419 inch small block and Precision 94mm turbo. Also the car is running on a 275 tire!
Here's a clip of the car making a 4.79 pass!

Just thought it was pretty cool that a guy from a small town in BFE Arkansas made history with a pass like that! Not to mention he (at some point) is the one with my car in his hands trying to get all my bugs lined out. He's pretty well-known around this area as the go-to guy for any 5.0 Mustang. Felt like sharing this with you guys since I don't have any other mustangular stuff to talk about while my car is in his shop.

Pretty cool stuff. What does he have to work out on your car?

It had been having a bunch of problems idling that neither myself nor any of my mechanic friends could figure out. Everyone around my area recommended that I take it to this guy since he deals strictly with 5.0 mustangs but I didn't realize he was such a big time racer.
