i was an mechanical oil pressure gauge from autometer and i was wondering how you hook it up... i know you need to hook lines to something but not sure what and where its located and what do i need to make it work? also i would like to but that and the fuel pressure gauge in the back part of a cowl hood but im not sure what size cowl i would need to fit the gauges there. thanks

just remove the useless stock sending unit and plumb the oil pressure gauge into that. It the easiest place....if you want to run the stock gauge as well, you can get a t-fitting and what not but I wouldn't worry about it.

As Rycleff said, the stock sending unit is a small round white thing with a metal cap on it. It's a 19mm 12 point wrench to remove it if memory serves. Unscrew from the side of the block just above the oil filter, thread in your various fittings (I believe 1/4" NPT) and line, and plumb it through the firewall and into the gauge. I recommend using copper line (available at the auto parts store) instead of the plastic stuff, but that's just me. Don't forget to use thread sealant! The liquid stuff is better than the white tape.

Paul.

Once you buy the autometer gauge, all you'll need is some copper tubing (optional) and thread sealer. Depending on what fittings are provided, you may need a brass NPT fitting or two which you can get from any hardware store.
