OBD2 Code readers

This may be a dumb question but...Canadian Tire has a sale on code readers and the one I am interested in says it will be compatible with all 1996 and up vehicles. I have an SN95. Since all the v6 engines were the same in 1996 and other years will this code reader work on my '95 ?

Yes, Ford made the v6 mustang obd2 compliant in 94 then the v8 starting in 96 which was the dealine.
