Yesterday my check engine light came on while I was driving home from work. I had the codes checked today and there is a misfire in cylinders 1 and 2 and bank 2 is too lean. About two weeks ago my mother was driving my car and let it run out of gas :( so i'm think my fuel pump could be messed up and starving the car from fuel. could that be the lean issue? And if it is that was cause the car to misfire due to lack of fuel right? :dunno: Someone please help!

its possible, but i would start by checking the plugs themselves first. check them and replace them if you need to. if you have plug wires, check them as well. #1 and 2 are on the passanger side, and bank 2 is on the drivers side. check to make sure there are no leaks in the intake as well

lean issue can be caused by a few different things, like a leak somewhere in the intake system or if the injectors arent firing (no fuel means its just air thats getting to the o2 sensors)
