Big update coming this week, got started on the engine today. Got the crank plastigauges and mic'd a .0015 which is about perfect for what im doing, torqued up the main studs and set the crank. Got the pistons mounted to the rods and will try to get the rings gap'd tomorrow and have the short blocked finished, arp heads studs are on the way and coolant mod, might see a motor in the car by the weekend, still need my stage 3 comp cams

file fitted my rings today to top .026 and bottom .024, checked the rod clearances, clearanced the pickup tube for the main studs and tied up the shortblock assembly... hopefully my head studs will be here quickly and i can get the heads on and get the cams dialed in and set this bad boy in the car

New updates... My guy finally came in to degree my cams, I got my full rear suspension, ordered my 31 spline axle setup, welded my axle tubes, dropped it off for powdercoat, painted the underbody, got my 03 cobra seats in, welded in the torque boxes. I also ordered my xxr 521 black machined stagged 18" wheel setup, along with nitto nt 555 245/45/18 and nt555 dr 305/40/18. Next week I'll get my slps and drop my motor in and possibly order my on3 setup and glenns performance fuel supply.... I see the light!

What did you use on the underbody and why did you choose it?

I really need to hit the underbody of my 98.. The rubberized shit never dries, and POR 15 is expensive.. Great build btw!

foofinator: Fortunatley my car wasn't rusted even though it was in a field forever. it has like maybe two spots of surface rust, took a scuff grinder pad to it, sprayed a little krylon primer, and then scuffed the whole under neath by hand and applied semi gloss krylon spray paint, looks amazing!

All while on your back on jackstands I see.. Champ for sure. It does look great, if it holds up, its a good option.
