Ordered two more parts today

Got me a steering column singe gauge pod and a Phantom Boost gauge ordered from Jegs today :dancing6: :dancing6: My blower will be here tomorrow and the Gauge/Pod on Friday. I'm going to do a double gauge pod on the A-Pillar soon but I'm putting it off for a bit because of he High cost of the Wideband setup I have to get + I have to decide on what other gauge I'm going to run in that double pod :-\ :-\ I was thinking Trans temp :dunno: or fuel pressure what do you guys thing :)

heh, well that was on my mind and in the plans to begin with but now I have a 6lb lower AND a ported blower so im not sure if I will or not. I guess it really depends on what my numbers are on the dyno and what he says. With what I have most L's are making around 430rwhp and SOME are doing 450-470 on Dynojets, so if mine were to fall in that second category there is NO way I would feel safe putting the juice on it and already being so close to the internals limits on power holding ability. Just have to wait and see :dunno:

What about motor temp? Or are your gauges pretty accurate? Or get a fake gauge that lights up "im too cool" in its place. :noes:

well the temp gauge from what I have read is pretty good, the factory boost gauge sucks from what the guys tell me, and besides its only goes to 10 pounds and im going to be in the 14 or 15 neighboorhood :pimp:

That's a good idea I want to make an air/fuel gauge that says "don't let out of it now but you're running really damn lean"

fuel pressure would be my suggestion. dont bother with an a/f gauge unless its a wideband.

you should have done the boost overlay trick

Being very familiar with the 2003/2004 Cobras, I would first recommend that you consider doing the Ray Hilton boost overlay for your Lightning. I am very familiar with this overlay. Only $29.95 and it allows you to continue to use your stock gauge. Show up to 16 lbs. Here's the link. http://www.boostoverlay.com/index.php?pgn=lightningorder

If you prefer the A-pod setup, I would recommend either a fuel pressure gauge, EGT or a wide-band A/F gauge. The latter would be my personal choice.

Man this is surely a dream shopping spree between all the bolt-ons to a ported blower and then to top it off gauges!!!! Cant wait to see how this thing runs!!!

Wideband is the ONLY kind of a/f gauge that REALLY WORKS, and on the overlay thing this is the FIRST time I have EVER HEARD of it ??? ??? Must not be very popular because I have been on NLOC and SVTP for 7 months now and cant remember seeing another L with it :dunno:

or you must mean the stuff I have ordered as a whole ::) ::) Remember guys I have had this L for 6 MONTHS now and I'm just NOW getting all my parts together to put on it. The only things it has now is RIMS-Tires/ Bed cover / and a shift kit..........Ive been saving my pennies ^-^
