Other car alarms remotes setting mine off

Whenever my dad goes to unlock his truck my car alarm goes off? Ummm help lol

what kind/brand of alarm? You might be able to reprogram the remotes you currently have in order to hopefully drop the remote it is confusing with his. Other then that he would need to get a new remote, and have it programmed to his vehicle.

my dads old keyless entry would turn on a wireless fan remote that we had and suddenly it would be on high.... Nothing we could really do short of getting a new remote.
