I was actually just thinking about this the other day..

When I was younger my dad had 2 1964 Ford Galaxy 500's. He was 14 when they were made and they were classics. I was 10 when my car was made so that means if I kept it until I have kids my car would be roughly the same age as the galaxies were to me to my kids.

^Hopefully people can understand what I said :p.

Short version: yes.

You never know! I mean look at all the muscle cars and what they are going for now. I know people back then never thought about those cars being worth what they are now. I mean they bought them to go fast and race just like we have done with ours.

i would think that the 94-95 being the last two years of the 5.0 that in the sn-95 body style they might be worth more than you think.

But you never can tell, but i would like to think so.

I think so, the way it is now all the 60's and early 70's stuff is so expensive that people are turning to other era's already. I have been seeing a crap load of late 80's early 90's Vettes lately with engine swaps and big meats on the back etc. Fox's have never gone out of style in NJ so seeing them is an everyday thing.

I know i'll still have my car in 20 years unless something happens to it.

I don't think just the GT's would be considered true classics...I think there were too many produced. I think the cobra's, bullett's, roush's, etc. would be considered classics, tho

were the redheaded stepchildren...
94-95 yes its the last of the 5.0's and the body styling is nice..
the early 4.6's hellz no! were underpowered...the 83-95's and
99-04's maybe, as well as the 94-98 cobra's...but dont hold your breath
for the 96-98 GT's being considered a classic.... :'(

I know this: you see fewer and fewer '94 & '95 GT's on the road every year. And some of the ones I see are in pretty bad shape. I think the fact that the SN95's are great looking cars and that Mustangs are almost iconic these days, the '94 & '95 Gt's may be quite sought after in a few years.

There were a decent amount of 94-98's made but the majority of them were V6's so i can't see that many really clean GT's surviving so the ones that are around will be worth something.

And value is only = to the demand/supply and we all like them now and will continue to in the future thus creating a market right there.

15 years ago i could have bought a Shelby GT500 vert for @ $35,000....now you can't sniff that car for under $350,000...why? Because the demand went up when the Baby Boomers came into the retirement scene with money to burn and dreams to relive. It will be the same for us.

im going to say "yes" and here's why...

According to the United States, a classic car is "a motor vehicle, but not a reproduction thereof, manufactured at least 15 years prior to the current year which has been maintained in or restored to a condition which is substantially in conformity with manufacturer specifications and appearance."

It’s the opinion of other classic car enthusiasts that a classic can be anything you want it to be. Even a completely modern car, such as the 2006 Mustang, with its retro styling, can be considered an instant classic. The same goes for older cars such as the 1968 Road Runner.

Any time a large group of enthusiasts get strong emotional attachments to their cars, arguments can quickly arise over definitions that please them the most. On About.com, we’re going to be a little less strict. Cars from the '30, cars from the '70s, and maybe even your car all have a chance at being a classic to someone – and that’s a standpoint we can easily live with.

I think are cars are aging very well. Some cars look dated and tacky when at one time they were in style. I know personally my car looks better every year to me anyway. I saw a mint fox 2 years ago and b/c it was in such great shape it cought my attention more that a newer Mustang would. Besides by the time my car is 20 years old it will be sick fast if every thing goes as planned.
