Output shaft moving up and down slightly

I think I have a very worn out bushing at the end of my transmission i replaced a u-joint today because i thought that's what was making the noise at hight speed and i noticed the shaft where the drive shaft connects to the transmission can move up and down am I going to have to pay a couple hundreds again to get that fixed or is it not that bad?

This movement is controlled with a good tailshaft housing bushing and DS yolk. Is the DS yolk scored? A new DS yolk is not too expensive and the tailshaft housing bushing can be pressed in place pretty easily. If you replace the bushing, replace the yolk too. You don't want a new bushing destroyed by an old DS yolk......

The yolk has a bump on it, I'll have to replace that, also my drive shaft was not straight, i had it repaired and rebalanced but its still oval... should i get one of those aluminum drive shaft that claim to be better and lighter and everything... ?

I would think as long as its balanced properly then you should be ok, but if its not symmetrical i dont see how it CAN be balanced. They arent much, i would look into replacing. I let mine go on my T5, i had the infamous Ebrake cable lip rub on the shaft, causing it to unbalance and subsequently destroy the T5.
