:BangHead: i did the p.i head swap on my 96 mustang. i have long tube headers, bbk cold air intake, 78mm throttle body. an this lacks power when i step on the gas. like stock was better then what i have right now. I must have done somethin wrong. Can someone help me out?

When you did the swap, did you take the front cover off or did you use the anderson tool? Its possible the chain could have skipped on the crank and then the cams could be off.

how does it idle?

if idle is ok then its probably just cam timing. if idle is horrible its almost safe to say you bent some valves.

its a pretty straight forward swap with the exception of the cam timing, so thats the most probably cause.

check engine light on?

well it idles real low..like 500rpm sometimes 300rpm. an the check engin light is on.but at the same time i also took the egr out..When i did the swap i forgot to put the pcv valve back,,so i put that back in.i put 93 octan in..um i didnt regap my plugs yet..An for the bent valves i dought i did that because i made damn sure the timing marks where right.
