I'm just about to prep and paint my dash. Was wondering what I should do/use to prep it before paint and which black paint you all recommend I should use.

Thanks!!

Sand it a lil bit, rub it with some alchohol or brake cleaner or the stuff duplicolor sells, (I think adhesion promoter). I just used alchohol and brake cleaner, you dont have to use both. The Duplicolor vinyl and fabric in flat black is almost exact color as oem.

Adhesion promoter is in a rattle can that you spray on.. stuff works great but I dont know if you need it.

scotch brite grey pad instead of sandpaper.

Sandpaper is fine, also. Just dont use too low of a grit. Im not sure you would even need it if you got the surface clean enough. I just wanted to make sure it would stick.

+1 but I was originally thinking of a prep wipe.
