Hey guys,

I'm taking my car to the painter tomorrow and would like some opinions. I have a 95 DFG and I'm trying to decide if I want the side mirrors painted or not. I'm going back with the factory color. I see some color matched mirrors that I like and others that I don't care for. If any of you have painted the side mirrors DFG let me know how you like it. Thanks.

dark colors look awesome with paint matched mirrors. bright cars look like butt though.

white looks good

depends. if the windows are tinted maybe if not, no. just way too much white, on a bright car, terminator mirrors are the way to go to break up the color.

Thanks for the pic JonBeast, that doesn't look half bad. I think I'm going to have to do this. If I don't like it, it's easy enough to go back to black.

Thats funny that dark colors look better than light cause I think the opposite.

I had a dhg bullitt and always thought of painting the mirrors but most wouldnt even notice.
but when I got my 95 cobra that was one of the first things I thought of doing. So in closing "to each his own"

I prefer the color to be broken up but Idont think such a dark color would need that.. It all boils down to preference

if you take the time to smooth them and disassemble them for paint, MAYBE it won't look like ass. it just doesn't look right w/ that type of mirror. possibly paint the mirror body color and leave a painted gloss black ring about 1/4" wide around the mirror opening to break it up.
