Well, as I said before, I got my mirrors painted at work. I sanded them down, got all the rough texture off them, prepped everything, and one of the painters at my work sprayed them for me. I wanted him to show me how to do it, but he just did it quick at the end of the day on a friday because he wanted to leave. But I did all the prep work, and they came out AWESOME.

Also, I had him paint my wiper arms too, I prepped only the bottom piece, and left the top of the arm black. I think its a really nice touch. I would never have them painted on a light colored car like white, then it would just look tacky, but on my car I think it looks really clean.

Let me know what you think :naughty:

Looks great man, you should paint the cowl!
Yea, I was thinking about that when I did the wipers...you painted the cowl on your truck right?

I know Dawssvt painted the cowl on his car...could look pretty cool.

My next priority is my hood though...I've got a nasty splintered crack and some stress cracks

looks great jon... I can't remember what you were going to use. Did you use base coat/ clear coat? They turned out great regardless.

I dunno about the wipers... but my wipers stay in the trunk all the time anyways. I do plan on painting my cowl though...

I thought I had a couple pics saved of some cars with painted cowls but this is all I could find atm. I know fst-huh's cowl is painted maybe he can post up some more pics

That looks super nice.. especially with the color of your car as you stated.. color determines how much can be done etc.

On painting your cowl.. ummmmmnn... not sure.. it's a fine line of awesome vs way to much.

Congrats on the awesome mirrors!

ya know, my painter want's to paint my cowel white - I'm not sure about that.
I think the black cowel matches the black trim around all the windows??

What do you say John?

that's why you pick up a spare cowl at your local junk yard and paint it... then you've got options. I've already got my spare cowl from my totalled 98, just haven't had time to paint it yet ;D

and dal, quit spelling cowl with an e :hammer:
