I was watching Pass Time this last weekend (recorded) and there was an '03 Mustang on there. It had the Cobra ground effects. He had "Cobra" written all over the car. He had "Cobra" emblems all over the car. He had Cobra wheels. But, it was an '03 GT with only a CAI.

I don't think any of the contestants picked up on that cause everyone put him in the 12s. I figured 14.8 but added for his stupidity of posing his car like that... So I gave him a 15.15. He ran a 15 flat!!!! I hate guys that do that to their car and then run slow embarrassing the trademark.

Later in the same show there was an actual '03 blown Cobra. This time the guys gave him a higher time (I guess cause of the first butthole that ran) and I gave him a 12.35. He ran a very high 11!

It was a nice looking poser but absolutely nothing under the hood! I don't mind people using Cobra body parts or Saleen body parts but don't badge your car to something it's not... That is so RICE!!!

Lol, this must be a vent, but I agree. 97-69 SS camaros are a dime a dozen now due to re-badging. I saw probably 20 of them this weekend at various car shows. those people are fun to mess with too!

That rubs me the wrong way when a non cobra has cobra emblems. Yes anyone can do whatever they want to their own car but does not change the fact that it does not make you any better then the owners of riced out Honda's w/ incorrect badges

Was it white with ugly clear Altezza styled taillights? I saw that one the other day. It was a 2000 Mustang GT driven by a 17 year old and it had all these cobra parts(appearance) on it with U/D pulleys, I guessed 14.1, was wrong he ran a 15.0:S

I favorite Pass Time guest was a fairly young guy who just bought a Mach 1 (red), he was happy with a kool-aid smile and everything. He then blew the motor @launch, felt bad then laughed quit a bit.

body parts never really bothered me. you could have a stock v6 mustang with a complete cobra dress-up, and i could care less. just so long as it doesnt have badges or writing/engraving on it somewhere, signifying its a cobra. bumpers/hoods dont mean jack, its the badging and "text" that spells out the model, that makes a car deceived as something its not.

that's what I mean. Wouldn't you rather have a fake SALEEN sticker going across the windshield than a COBRA sticker?

Last night I was watching and a very powerful Camaro popped a wheelie when he launched and stood on his back bumper. He crashed down and went into the other lane... "CF"!!! lol! Good thing it wasn't a combo round.

Looks like I still have another one recorded to watch... bbl!

no, not really, because the car is neither a cobra or a saleen.

a couple bumpers and a hood dont say "this car is a saleen", but big bold letters on the windshield that spell out "SALEEN", does.

okay, what I'm trying to get at is the fact that I am very suprised that more people don't do Faleens.

There's a girl over on StangNet that has one. It has all the badges and eyebrow. She caught a lot of shit for calling her car a Saleen when it wasn't. She now calls it a Faleen but she still has all the badges.

I plan on putting a Saleen body kit on my car one day but I will never badge it as such.

people don't do faleens because 9 billion people had already done them. until the termis came out, now the cloners have another source for cloning.

Who cares, my uncle has a 1965 fastback GT 350 clone, the car is awesome. If someone's going to put a retarded GM motor in a Ford... especially a Cobra, It's no different than putting the stupid badges on the car.

I like a clone when it's done right, because I personally do not care.
