It happpens with pretty much anyone that has a sub in the trunk but if you invest in a little dynomat your problem will be solved i use it on any rattle that shows up in my car.

Yeah i usually is the license plate and frame if you have one, i just put a little bit of dynomat behind each and it is nice and silent.

exactly, either that or a small piece of old carpet does the trick.

I always assume my trunk/plate rattles but I never hear it. Although everytime I hear another car with a shaky trunk I think it sounds like crap. maybe I should get around to fixing my rattles haha.

box cellophane tape and card board does a good job of keeping it not rattling behind license plates. you can get spray on dynamat and works as affective. most people have subs and its too loud and sounds like crap, i agree. and the vibration loosens parts after awhile.. sick.

the rattling is usually the license plate on the trunk rattling. but a small peice of dynamat, or even some thick double sided tape or something between the plate and car and you should be fine. i had 36 sq ft of dynamat and fixed 2 rattling problems with it. worked great :thumb:

my trunk is pretty solid... what rattled badly was the license plate + frame.

i just bought the license plate Dynamat kit and it fixed all my problems. it was only 13 bucks and it was easy as cake to install. i didn't do any of the homeade ideas because i just wanted to fix it and be done.. and dont use the gay license plate frame please lol...

see here is the thing....

i dont really wanna put the sub in my car because of the weight issue...i have worked hard gettng my weight down on the car and this is just taking a step back IMO..... Dynamat would be even worse because thats even more weight..... :wall:

The main reason i cant really put the sub in is because i remove the back seat and everything in the truck every few weeks for track events or AutoX.... and i turn WAY to hard on the street so the sub will just slide around unless it has a sick base or is bolted.

...but we will find out the weekend when by friend brings the sub and amp and small box over..... i am gonna weight it all and make up my mind

i have a port in the back of the box (facing the trunk/license plate) and the only thing that RATTLED was the license plate frame against the plate itself. i installed the license plate Dynamat kit and it got rid of all the rattling. 14 bucks and it weighs about as much as an xbox controller or something.. it weighs like a pound or less.
