I belive that the PI cams are one of the best mods for
the 96-98 npi cars. With the PI intake included you can
see gains of 35 rwhp or more with a tune.
I had the PI cams in in my old mustang
and liked them because you are able to rev higher.

So you had just the pi cams? if so how much did it give you?
No,I had both pi cams and intake on my mustang.
I did the PI cams first though. I gain 12 rwhp from the PI cams
alone with the NPI intake. From just the PI cams you can see
10-15 rwhp. The biggest gain will be from the PI intake of course.
The NPI intake and cams are very restrictive indeed.

my car feels slower since i put the pi intake on. It deffinitly lost power down low and i can't tell a difference up top...

I did dyno after I put on my PI intake and it showed that I lost a little torque, but more than made that up on the upper end. My SOTP meter couldn't tell the loss of torque, but saw that the car pulled further in the rev range. Your auto might need to be held in gear longer for you to feel the hp gain (change in shift points with tuner?). I personally felt gains from the PI cams more in my SOTP meter in my stang all through the rev range and of the two, found it to be the better mod on my stang.

So I think the numbers you are seeing appear to be lower because #1 you have an auto and they dyno lower than manuals by ~10rwhp and #2 mustang dynos will have lower numbers compared to dynojets. You can't reliably compare numbers posted on the internet to your numbers, so it's just for reference only should be used to get an idea on the type of gains you might see on your own car.

Yea I understand. For now, i'm just needing the car to hold together and get me from point a to point b so its no biggy, i'm just gonna throw the npi intake back on and the stock exaust. Then i'm gonna fix up the pi heads i got and do a minor port and polish and gasket match on it and then put some cats on the mid pipe and get a new catback and then do the whole swap at one time. That way i'll really feel the power... since i'll probably be used to the stock npi again lol. O well at least my rear bumper will thank me when its not covered in unused gas and fumes.

weird...when I put mine on it felt like VTEC. not being sarcastic either...it was like an extra burst in the upper rpms.
