Yeah weaker is relative since it can handle like 800-1000 hp (WAP) and John Mihovertz runs the Teksid's north of 1500+hp.

per shm
rates the teksid over 1000 and the wap 800 (round numbers) Nothing you would experience, also i believe the wap is a pound or 2 lighter.

Teksid = 85.40 lbs
WAP = 80.40 lbs

Here, read this book (on line) and you will understand ALOT more then you do currently..... (ps i do not suggest buying this version as it has less information as to the first or second run books (like i have) due to the inclusion of the 3v motor, where my version has 2 and 4 vonly and the same amount of pages WTF!!!

154.00 lbs per SHM.

Found your book...? :thumbsup:

I love that book! My Systems Integration instructor gave it to me.

How can you tell which version it is? Mine says Copyright 2003 and doesn't have 3v.

The cover of the book will tell you the difference, you want the one wit the TT motor on it.

i've worked on a few of these. the chain guides have diff pins and the 96-98 blocks have knock sensor ports. they are good for 800+ the other alum is good for only up to 800 god are they lighter then the stock blocks. also 1 bolt hole in the timing cover is not used when using 2v heads it's the bolt hole right under driver side water pump bolt.

Half of that is true, half isnt.

we already stated there are 2 different aluminum blocks. also i already let him know about the waterpump bolt and how to fix it with a different timing cover.
