I know for a while Livernois used to make adapter plates for the NPI to PI I take. They were quite pricy, but I wanted a pair because I felt it was better than just RVT'ing the ports. Does anyone else make those adapters? Livernois said they could make them but it will be 800 or so bucks. Which in that case I'll just rvt it. Any links to adapter or letting me know they're not made anymore would be great.

I used RTV initially when doing my PI cam/ intake swap on NPI heads. I had a leak the first startup, pulled the manifold and added more RTV and haven't had a leak since (been almost 3 years of driving hard in the summer heat). The $7 tube of RTV seems to be a dependable/ economical route compared to $800 for adapter plates; for that price you could buy a low mileage PI motor and all the parts to refresh it and swap it in. I would take your time on the manifold swap and use RTV

2nd this! I recently did the intake swap on my car. I had used PI gaskets and had an air leak on the first startup so I took it all apart and did it again and I've had no issues since.

I'm more worried about when I boost the car

My opinion - do the PI heads too. I scored a 2001 Crown Vic PI motor with trans for $175, sold the trans for $100. So far I have $75 net for all the parts to do a PI swap. I'll spend some money getting the heads checked out and will go with a Ford Racing PI intake since the Crown Vic piece is all plastic, but still great bang for the buck. Your car, though...

I would, and actually have a set if I go that route, but I'm trying to keep compression down if I'm going to throw a super charger on it

Good point. I don't know how heavy duty a blower you are thinking. If I go power adder on mine at some point, it will probably be a mild turbo set up.

You know the rtv is in the coolant port, right? It doesnt care about boost at all.

10.5:1 compression is just fine for a boosted setup. Ask 98snakehorse. Youll pick up torque and boost will come in faster. Youll require less boost to make the same power as a lower compression setup.

You will be perfectly fine with PI heads and a blower. My car makes 16lbs of boost with an NPI shortblock and PI Heads. You get way more power down low with the bump in compression and the blower favors it more too.

Saw this on facebook today, thought of this post. If I hadn't just done the swap without these I'd be all over them for 50 bucks.

I've seen those as well, and wondered if it hurt performance to add runner length like that. Swapping to a pi intake is all about gaining power above the 4-5000 range where the NPI craps out. That's part of why I port matched mine. Back in those days we didn't know the port mismatch wouldn't be a problem.
