PI intake only swap question

I may have the typical cracked plastic manifold, if I do replace it I would of course like to step up to the PI manifold

Since I am using non-pi heads I know I will need the correct gaskets and such but I also notice the new alt bracket is needed.

The OEM bracket on my 96 is nothing more then a wire holder mount, nothing connects to the alt itself. Does that change with the PI manifold swap?

The alternator bracket I have for a PI setup does attach to the intake and the alternator, so if your doesnt then I personally would suggest doing that.
