I'm about to do my intake swap cuz my manifold recently cracked and I was wonderin whick gaskets I need to get, pi or npi,
yeah, npi is more work, but i couldn't get the coolant jackets to seal up for very long with the pi gaskets. maybe i didn't let it cure long enough, dunno.sneaky98gt said:I am using PI with no problems. When using PI gaskets, you have to RTV the coolant jackets on the passenger front side and driver rear side. When using NPI gaskets, you have to RTV every intake port. NPI is a lot more work, if you ask me. And honestly, the amount used on the PI gaskets is just a little amount, only a dab really.
