So we got the heads on, timing cover, accessories...pass side valve cover, intake, etc etc..

Only thing left is the drivers valve cover, some other bolts, some wiring..should be done.

However..the big problem were having is the FUCKING dipstick tube..we put it on with the head, and no matter how we turn it, its not going where we need it to go. Im tempted to break it, plug it, and just change the oil every 2-3,000 miles..but Id like to be able to know where my oil level is..We cant even get it back OUT without breaking something now.

So she should be running tomorrow. Im going to have an exhaust leak though, the pass side gasket where the manifold meets the exhaust busted..Ill have to get a new one in the next few days..

hmmmm. that sucks. .. :-( did you accidently bend it durring tear-down and rebuild? the head swap kit from ford comes with a new dipstick for that very reason.

this is exactly why i tried to sway you to buy the Lokr piece before you started.

it make this job 1000000000% easier. its flexible SS braided. you just put it between the header and head, then bend it and plug it into the block.

its so simple.

definitly worth the 60 bucks. i would've paid 200 for the pain it saved me, i.e. the pain your having right now.
