I searched and search and search and couldn't find any pillar gauged designed for convertibles. Apparently they are different. Ive seen some rather crappy examples that look like someone just slapped something together, but I wanted the factory look that coupes enjoy. I found that Lotek made them exclusively for convertibles, but there were no pics on the internet, so it was a risk.

Not sure why they list it for 94-00, as Im not sure what changed in 2001.

Anyway, since theres no pics anywhere on the internet Ill post some of mine.

i'm not a fan of the pillar pods, but i do rock a dual pillar with boost guage and wideband guage.

i temporarily mounted my wideband guage to the top of the column near where it would be if i put it in the cluster pod, and it was VERY dangerous to even glance at it in that location. i think with something like water temp it would be ok, since you arent too worried about it at WOT, but for me, needing a quick glance every couple seconds at the gauge anytime i make a change that requires tuning, i chose the pillar. i can glance so quick my eyes barely leave the road.

Vintage pioneer avic-d1 (circa 2005):

Displays three instruments that indicate the status of your vehicle. You can change the values displayed by the instruments on the left and right of the Sensor View, allowing you to choose from the following: voltage, acceleration, side acceleration, angular velocity, slope, direction, or clock.

So in other words, no oil pressure, no water temperature and no vacuum. Besides, if youre viewing the vehicle dynamic display, you cant see the map, and with the top down during the day its a bit difficult to see anyway. Plus I would be looking down at the navi; while viewing pillar gauges, my attention is still semi with the road.

Its got the "porno red" interior, so sure, why not?

With this particular model you hafta plug in an external DVD player, which Ive only done just to test it. And yes, its been modified to you can play with it while driving, but really, why would you?

You mean to tell me that youre the only one in america who DOESNT have an iphone yet?

why not just get digital gauges if you dont want logos?
1) digital gauges are really expensive
2) the ones Ive seen still had logos
3) the ones I settled for (autometer) have very small logos that arent in your face and glowing. And at least its a brand Ive heard of

I don't hate the gauge pods as they are a good location for info. They do scream out for a little more attention then I like but I have still considered one with a nice digital multi gauge that could do a couple of things at once. They are pricey but I am a tech geek just minus the iphone.......
