Play in the steering

Does anyone know how to get the play out of the steering? It's not bad, but I get probably 1/2 inch of movement in the wheel w/o any steering response.

The rag joint in your steering shaft is shot. You need to replace the rag joint, or the steering shaft. The 2003 Cobra steering shafts are a direct fit and have very nice feel and response. Or you can get a solid one like those available from Maximum Motorsports and Flaming River.

iv seen the stock ruber bushing rot away if they are soaked in oil
