ported windsor sr. heads vs holley systemax??? pics added

I probably should have put this in my last post, but just thought of it. I can get a used set of ported windsor sr heads (iron) for really really cheap, and was wondering if they would work better on my car than my holley systemax 2 heads. What do you guys think? You can definately tell these things have been ported. The previous owner went a 12.8 with these on a low compression 306 (8.1), f cam, and the typhoon intake ported on street tires. Just wondering if these would be worth it, or should I wait and just get my holleys ported?

well, i finally picked them up and they are actually ported really well. I only paid 400 for them so it was worth buying them either way. It would cost more than that to have my holleys ported also.

here are some pics of the ports, windsor sr on left gt40 on right (my holleys are about the same size ports.)

sorry the pics are so big, had to do it through cardomain and couldn't figure out smaller.

What do you guys think? The ports are extremely smooth, so much more than my holleys. I wouldn't switch them out till next summer, but thought i'd ask. Also, forgot to mention I may end up adding a vortech supercharger sometime next year also...

I would have definitely stuck with the Holley's, FWIW. Higher ceiling and lighter weight.

Ability to support more mods/horsepower.

Keep in mind Windsor Sr. heads have a 2.02/1.60 valve so if you want to use any type aftermarket cam your going to have to clay the heads and notch the pistons accordingly.

yah, well my motor seized up on me today (broke a rod after 400 miles) :( so I'm going to go ahead and sell the smaller systemax heads and keep with the windsor srs. I don't have the money right now to spend on porting the holleys or i would do that. The holleys were some nice heads though...and i'm trying to sell them to fund my new motor.
