As I'm waiting for chassis work on the 02 I have been tempted.......
I have 70% of 2v motor done for the car, but Fiance offered up his dyno proven 1060hp F1C 365 LS motor, BS3, and TH400 trans so I would be able to race my GT in the entire LSx series that we already attened.

Shit.

Not starting the mod motor/LS battle........but hell, a free COMPLETE proven motor/trans/EFI that would smoke the 2v I have started :embarrassed:
I dunno what to do, my blood runs pretty dang blue.

Shit.

Paint the motor blue stick that boy in your car. We won't hate you. Post some pics of the set up

I'm typically against crossbreeding but I would say do it in this instance because 2V's just suck anyway

I'd do it just cuz people will hate.... Hahaha. And 2v does suck. Pushrods ftw.

I'm not a fan of those types of swaps. Not that I dislike LS engines, I actually love them. I just don't think mixing them. Have you considered getting a Chevy/GM shell to put that setup in instead of your mustang? Just a thought.

I'm relentlessly attached to my 02, and due to shop space I can only have one track only car. I've owned an f-body and it felt like i was piloting an aircraft carrier lol

True. I'd just hate to see you swap that stuff into your mustang when your doing more than just adding power to it with its current project. That setup sounds badass but more for a drag only car which you could turn your GT into but I personally wouldn't.

Either way you'll have a lot of fun. Either with tons of power or less power and overall nicer.

Not sure what to vote on this one... Yeah LS motors are titties and beer no denying that. But they don't really belong in Mustangs lol. And fawk the haters 2v can be excellent motors when built and put out damn good power, especially if you bore it out and stroke it. My blood runs blue too so I don't really know what I would do. Free is free I suppose... But I also think you would like that 2v when finished

Is there really a question here? LS swap and don't look back. Prove motor and you turn your car into something that isn't seen every day. I already told my brother Id buy his all of his LS1 stuff from his SS camaro before he got rid of it.

Specs for both motors ( LS motor vs 2v)

Block: LS2 v teksid
Crank: Eagle forged stock LS1 stroke v Kellogg forged 5.0 stroker
Rods: Howard v Manley - both h-beams
Pistons: Diamond v Manley
Compression: both are very close to 11:1
Heads: AFR 225 v Trick Flow 44cc (I still have to buy valvetrain for my 2v heads)
Intake: Holley high ram v Logan sheet metal
Power adder: Belt drive F1C v cog drive F1C (still need to buy headunit for 2v)
EFI: BS3 v FAST
Fuel: both set up for C16

so just in valvetrain and blower head unit, there's an EASY $4k I still need to spend on the 2v :-/
