I would not try it on that 3 wheeled tripod POS
I put a fully dressed 460 on it and bars bent
Those engines are heavy
Lord no! No tripod for me LOL. Could you imagine it tipped over:confused::oops:, it would break anything it hits. Those tri-pods are for stuff like a short block only, at least if I had to use one, that's what I would use it for. I just looked this up, 429/460 weigh the same, but the boss 429 is 40lbs more! Almost 800lbs of engine:eek:

I'm a big push rod guy myself, but my 97 came with the 2v so I began to like it over the years, and it eventually grew on me. Chevy made it easy, and Ford made it more challenging to make power. So many people give up and go a different route.

LS style swaps are so widespread because GM put those engines in EVERYTHING! They’re so cheap because the market is saturated with them. Plus they’re compact enough to fit into most anything you can think of:

I’ll gladly stick with my Windsor motors before I drop a shitbox ls in. If I wanna build another Chevy I’ll buy a Chevy. Never understood the want to mix and match like so. It’s been proven plenty of times that Ford motors are just as strong and capable.
