These are the motor mounts for the S197 GTs. I've seen so damn many of these things. We used to cast them at a plant I worked for. They were notorious for having heat sinks in the cores so if you attempt to reuse them, I'd check for that.

It's weird seeing that.

sorry, i'll get back to you on that. Been busy with work and calendar and family stuff!

One suggestion, I had a T-rex external fuel pump. it whined so loud I hated it.
I'd suggest Walburo in tank pump, works good and is quite.

I PM'd you on the Clutch/flywheel!

Hope your feeling better.

Re: Project '' The Hooker '' Updated 1/16/09

Well, after a long time of recovery after doing 3 sinus operations. I got to start work again.

I installed the chassis harness and for damn sure it looks like there is going to be LOTS AND LOTS of cutting and soldering wires together. then I moved into the engine where I installed the metal engine mounts and A/C Delete kit and I also did lots of cleaning up.

Then I realized 2 flywheel bolts were missing. so I ordered them and since no dealer had them it took them a week. so Yesterday I got the engine, clutch kits ( from dalamar ) ready. and so when i came to install it I realized that the splines of the presure plate are 48 ? lol thanks daalamar ... luckily I had a heavy duty pressure plate laying around I cleaned it up and installed the clutch and the transmission all together..

UP goes the engine and trying to install it and we came across many Freaking problems .. ( Headers were hitting ) brake booster was too big. ) so just by trying to squeeze here and there we managed to install the engine in just 5 hours.. lol.

that work was yeterdays work and hopefully today I will install the dashboard , differntial and the shifter.

Pics will be posted tomorrow as my pc doesnt have a card reader now.

And as some of you might not know this. But in order to fit a 3V engine onto a older model bodies, the headers have to be from a 2v because the bent on the 3v headers will be hitting the firewall.. and in order to install the FPS and pedal from older model you need the conversion kits as well.. I didnt need them because I am installing electronic throttle pedal.

Looks like an awesome build.... Where are you at? Cause when you're done you can come work on mine! :0)

Did you decide what you're going to do with the ignition Key? If you haven't already done so, have the PATS system turned off from the ECU, Attach the correct wires to the ignition cylinder for turning on the power then install a push button start. Problem solved. :0)

For the brake booster problem, you will have to switch to a hydroboost system. Ford switched in 96 due to the modular motor being alot bigger in physical size and taking up more room in the engine bay.

SCT, Sniper and Diablo can all turn off the PATS. That's how I have push button start.

so you guys mean a 96 hydro brake booster from a mustang GT will fit exactly fine with no extra modification needed ?

SXYNERD : I will be more than happy to work on your car, But are you willing to ship your car to United Arab Emirates ? lol...

Re: Project '' The Hooker '' Updated 4/13/09

Hey - glad to see you back online.
Glad you're feeling better too.

Sorry for the short bolt on the flywheel. I didn't count them.
I was out of town and had a shop swap it out, and it went right into that box. :dontknow:
48 spline is stronger :tongue3:

NICE work on the gauge cluster, I like that.
Great work overall, that motor looks huge in there.
you guys rock for doing all this work yourself.

On your rear shock, take a crescent wrench (adjustable wrench) and bend the metal outward to clear the body of the shock/sleave.
I had to do that on my rear coilovers.

I'm not sure on the brake conversion - do you still want a picture?
