Question about Hood Scoop/Nostril Thingys

Anyone ever make those things functional? I know some of the Terminator guys have, but they're located slightly differently and I was concerned about water entering the engine compartment right over the valve covers...

So if you have made them functional, what did you do?

i really dont see any function you could get from opening the holes up, the termy hoods are like the saleen ones and those vents are for heat extraction.

Heat extraction...yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. I am thinking of cutting out some pieces, or just drilling some holes...when I do, I'll let everyone know the results.

I am thinking about putting a tamp gauge under the hood before I do this and record temps - under-the-hood, ambient air, coolant temp...then do the same after the cuts...

Maybe find a stock 6'er hood and try before chopping up your Cobra's.... Good luck.
