I'm having trouble getting this thing to fit right and bolt up to one of the header bolts. Anybody have pics of their install or tips?

I have Mac longtubes. I had to rebend the tube a couple times and the bracket is all sorts of tweaked. It bolts onto the valvecover now. As long as you don't have to shorten the tube, bend it however you have to get it to sit in the block and secure firmly and you'll be fine!

I put a spacer and a long bolt on one of the header bolts, and just slid the notch in with some bending, use a clamp and a hammer to bend it that way you don't leave tool marks. Once you are all fitted up, get some high heat black spray paint. And paint her up. Nobody will even look at it twice and it will be solid as can be.

Yeah i have teaken the tube out and tried to ram the dip stick through it but i think the tube is trashed cause there is no way i have been able to get it to work. I need to get one of another car, the tube of a 5.0 thunderbird should work right? ANd does anyone RTV the dipstick tube when they put it back in the block? i heard this is a good idea to prevent leaks there

When we put the dipstick in around my buddies MAC longtubes on his 331, the engine was still in the crate, so it was easy, but that damn thing has more bends in it than the Tail of the Dragon(ask a Motorcyclist if you don't know... he should be able to tell you)

When I installed my BBK LT's, I re-bent the tube, removed the existing mounting tab, and built a little bracket to bolt the dipstick tube to one of the AC lines.... which is now a problem, because I just removed my AC system.
