question on o/r h pipe install

how hard is it to install an o/r h pipe on a 96 gt, auto? the o/r h pipe is still in the box sitting in the trunk, it sounds pretty good w/ just the mac catback but i wanna slap that o/r h pipe on her, friend of mine is willing to help if it isnt terribly hard

Im not sure about an auto install but on a manual, the only hard part is getting the 2 bolts off on the passengers side. When I took mine off for the first time, I stripped my header collector threads. Now that sucked.

It's easy. Like Gary said, hardest part is getting the passenger side unbolted. Make sure you have extensions, and swivel type sockets; it makes the job much easier

is there a difference between o/r h pipes for auto or manual? i just went outside to get the part # an its 43960

since our cars are older, Id hit that with PB Blaster too.
My X pipe should be coming in soon so Ill be busy as well :thumb:

is that the same as WD40? if so, thats what i had in mind

i emailed Mac Performance's tech service, an the part # i listed will work for an auto

PB Blaster is much stronger than WD40. Buy it- I swear by the stuff.

If you can, soak the bolts down once a day for a couple of days before you install the o/r H.
