I got and installed a Hurst Billet/Plus SST short throw shifter yesterday and I love the improved shifting and overall feel but it feels like a lot more transmission noise comes into the cabin now, is their a good sound deadening material I could put under the factory shift boot? Or did I do a bad job on the silicon gasket? :dontknow:

Factory handles are in rubber bushings to prevent that. Not to much you can do.

Yeah that happened to me too. I think there is a gasket you can get that may help.

My MGW shifter seemed to fix the shifter noise.. too bad I can hear whining and something rolling around in the transmission. Oh well lol. I don't think there's much you can do to help though.

aha Exact same thing with me, whining and what not! Maybe a louder exhaust is the answer? ;)
