96-98 GT vs 95-95 GT

I seen a race ::)

95 vs a 96-98 both seemed stock
the 95 was auto and the 96 was a manual

The 95 got the jump, pulled a car, then the 96 came back and it was even till about 75 then the race ended with the 5.0 in the lead bearly.

Anyone know the strengths and weakness' of the 2 engines stock?
Which is faster and which is quicker?

I'm just wondering

I don't have enough experience stock vs. stock to tell but most people will say the pushrods are faster.

I've always heard that the 94-95 5.0's were the slowest gt's ever made with only about 215-225 horsepower. I cant remember exactly. The 96-98 Gts were supposed to have more horsepower stock and be quicker especially 5 speeds. The only problem with the 96-98 were their heads, which are really restrictive when it comes to power adders.

I think the 96,97 were the weakest ever made. There is not one thing on them that is not restrictive...intake, heads, cams, 6 cats on the midpipe..etc...

Those are what the years are rated as power wise from the factory, but when you take into consideration torque and ACTUAL rwhp, everything changes...

Nah, you miss the point. Ford doesn't want some jacked up kids getting these cars and being like *O look at me im Fast* COUGH ls1

They want to make people work for there power/speed.
Ford designed the mustang to THIS DAY, to be worked on, to be worked into your own desire. Not come out of the factory bad-to the bone

Hek if that's the case go buy an ls1 or a GT500, Ford has something special for somebody who's to lazy to build a car also

geez hicks way to make the most controversial thread ever..im surprised theres not arguring going on....usually you see these threads and go .....sigh oh no.....

i will give my thoughts and thats this ...its to hard to say honestly haha ....the 94-95 have the better torque and down low power so the early jump is right and the 96-98 have high rpm hp thats where the engines seem to really wake up soo i would have to say i cant answer your question haha :D

Thanks bro!!! I just wished everyone would understand. Instead, they just say Fords are slow and sucky because they beat a non-moded GT
